Passionate fans of Ariana Grande are urging that a man who leaped a barricade and touched the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the individual from Australia bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the performers made its way down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being detained", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed features videos of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney concert in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last December.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is clearly a punishable act," wrote an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user questioned.

Fans Show Disapproval Over the Star's Past Trauma

Many followers accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the end of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented a further response on Instagram.

Some supporters also questioned event staff at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals requested digital services to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Event Details

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande seemed shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Numerous of supporters had congregated in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore venue, including a number who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The motion picture, to be launched on November 21, is the sequel of a dual interpretation of the popular theatrical show Wicked, which centers on the surprising friendship between two very different witches.

The production itself is a derivative of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress decorated with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning film of the previous year in the UK, and earned ten Oscar nominations, winning two for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
