This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm across the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions before the game's launch, to trainers developing firm views on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.

With numerous of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive appearances that highlight their traits, one thought naturally: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for Aries, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. Several past official descriptions mention their fondness for sweet sap and how it uses its horn to hoard it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Super Medicham

Observe this total queen. You cannot convince me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, providing an constant fountain of gossip to those who wants to hear. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's very easy to envision Super Medicham captivating an whole Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to predict an enemy’s future actions, which seems quite similar to a socially-savvy Twins.

The Crab – Super Manectric

The Crab is widely considered as the most emotional member of the zodiac, a passionate sign known for frequently becoming wrapped up in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's too much for this Pokémon to fully manage,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer emotional outburst. It is also known for its capability to make a thundercloud over its very head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their own parade.

Fans were captivated from the purple sea star, and that’s precisely the same energy a Lion offers to the scene. Starmie is also said to be transmitting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be staging a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.

Virgo – Mega Victreebel

The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Maiden is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly judgmental is strongly mirrored across this creature's whole lineage, from a perpetually shocked face like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a plan.

Libra – Super Audino

Look at this gentle, sensitive creature, who uses the feelers on its ears to detect how people are feeling by their pulse. Always compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and striving to keep the harmony, there are many Scales who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. However, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to stress even more about others.

Scorpio – Super Banette

Banette is a creature with a unexpectedly sad origin: Abandoned as a doll, it gained consciousness through pure resentment and swore revenge on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect pair with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a performance. Being a Sagittarius myself, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful small entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Super Form, its description even notes how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can imagine.

The Goat – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the ability to predict disasters ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently think they’re correct.
